VDW Redesigns the Community Health Center of Burlington's Website
The Community Health Center of Burlington is a “Federally Qualified Health Center” charged with providing high-quality medical, dental, and mental health care to all local residents regardless of income. In 2009, CHCB came to Vermont Design Works for the design and development of a new website that could reach many different audiences: prospective medical and dental staff; potential donors; the press; and the Center’s 13,000 patients, many of whom do not speak English as their first language.
In order to achieve these goals, Vermont Design Works completely redesigned the Community Health Center's website, integrating a user-friendly online Content Management System allows the Center’s employees to update the site whenever needed. The redesigned website also includes an online directory of medical staff and a private online discussion board for board members. In addition, VDW integrated an email newsletter system into the new website, offers a quick, affordable way for the Community Health Center to reach out to patients, the press, and potential employees and donors.
