Craig Chevrier

Director of Accounts & Strategy

Craig has been working on the web since 1996, and brings several years of experience in online marketing and technology to Vermont Design Works. His recent experience includes CMS planning, online marketing strategy, and client service for major Vermont brands and highly-visible statewide nonprofits. Craig has worked in agencies and in nonprofits and corporations of all sizes, including stints as merchandising manager of TWEC.com (now FYE.com), managing editor of XML.org and OASISOPEN.org, and Internet Marketing Manager for the University of Vermont division of Development and Alumni Relations. He has first-hand experience in planning online strategies for the hospitality, telecommunications, biotechnology, software, entertainment, retail, B2B, nonprofit, fundraising, advocacy, media, and healthcare industries. Craig is experienced in navigating the channels of input and feedback of organizations of all sizes. His objectives in all projects (and indeed his pastimes and volunteer work) include consistency, compatibility, and long-term usability. Craig has published articles and essays in several periodicals and presents seminars on Internet marketing and mass media to professional, civic, and educational audiences. He teaches Social Responsibility in Media at Champlain College, where he focuses on sustainable design and content, and teaches students techniques for responsible, holistic media development. He is active in local politics in his hometown of Hinesburg, and also runs the websites for the volunteer boards on which he serves: The Vermont Action Coalition for Media Education (ACMEvt) and the Hinesburg Community Land Trust.
