We may be closed next Thursday and Friday for the holiday but we still wanted to share a rundown of Thanksgiving events happening around Vermont next week. For starters, we’re so thankful for all of the great charities that will be helping the less fortunate this year and we’re happy to provide a sample of the ways you can help. We’ve also compiled a list of restaurant dinner specials and Thanksgiving in VT getaways for out of staters planning to visit us.
Early this year FlynnTix, long-time friends and clients of Vermont Design Works, approached us with a request for new website functionality – customer chosen seat selection. The “Select Your Own Seat” project arose out of a need to meet the demands of the modern web user who expects to choose airline seats, as well seats to concerts and major sporting events. In the end our designer and application developers created a solution that is visually appealing, easy to use and allows users to find the perfect seat without any hassle.
Santa Night fundraising event celebrates 15 years of raising good cheer and funding for charities across the country.

Today we’re excited to announce the recent launch of a beautiful and contemporary new website for Vermont’s largest beverage distributor and the only Anheuser-Busch distributor in the state – Farrell Distributing of South Burlington, VT. Opening up shop in 1933, Farrell was the first licensed distributor in the state after prohibition and decided it was finally time they had a website worth of their legacy and premier distributor status.
With a portfolio boasting such names as NECI, FlynnTix and Lake Champlain Ferries, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we often see our clients in the news, and that was never more true than last week. Today we take a look at just a handful of stories that caught our eye recently.

For most of us, the story of a tragic fire at Brown Ledge Camp in Colchester ended with the revelation that 2 teens playing with matches and fireworks were responsible. But you probably hadn’t heard that despite the damage caused by the fire, Brown Ledge has been rebuilding in preparation for the originally scheduled opening of camp on June 20. As a long-time friend and client of ours, we’ve been closely monitoring their rebuilding efforts and are excited to post this update on the remarkable progress they’ve made just in recent weeks.
