NEW CLIENT: Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium

Vermont Design Works is excited to announce its newest client, the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium of St. Johnsbury, VT . The Museum has selected VDW to design and develop its forthcoming “Community of Observers” website, a database-driven community portal dedicated to allowing “citizen scientists” and local weather and wildlife observers to participate in tracking and discussing natural phenomena related to global climate change.

The faribanks Museum and Planetarium is a natural history museum boasting the northern New Hampshire & Vermont area’s largest collection of wildlife and orthinographical samples.  It also houses northern New England’s only working planetarium.

The target date for releasing the Community of Observers site is early 2012.

NEW CLIENT: Living Gardens – Logo design, online marketing, and Website design & development

Vermont Design Works is proud to announce a new design, website development, and online marketing partnership with Living Gardens.  VDW will design and build the new Living Gardens online store, as the company establishes itself as a new brand in the online floral gifts market.

VDW will also provide logo design services for Living Gardens, as it establishes its new brand identity. 

Living Gardens is a division of Marlborough Greenhouses of Marlborough, New Hampshire, a long-time provider of high-end, private-labeled planted flower bulb products, seen in better home & garden and outdoors catalogs from major national brands.  It will continue to provide products for its retail and catalog partners as it builds the Living Gardens brand and establishes its new online retail gift business.

NEW CLIENT: Exemplars

Vermont Design Works is pleased to announce its partnership with Exemplars, an education publishing and consulting company located in Underhill, Vermont.  

Exemplars offers easily differentiated, classroom-tested performance
material for assessment and instruction. Areas of focus for Exemplars materials include differentiated math, scaffolded writing, and inquiry-based science curricula.  Exemplars also provides top-notch professional development and consulting for classroom modeling and in-class usage of Exemplars materials.

NEW PROJECT: JWH Designs of Rye Brook, NY

Vermont Design Works is proud to announce a new website design and development project for JWH Designs & Cabinetry in Rye Brook, New York. JWH principal Jennifer Howard provides design and cabinetry consulting for high-end home and business interiors. 

VDW will provide strategic planning, search engine optimization (SEO) consulting, and web development services, and will integrate its ContentWorks™ content management system (CMS) to allow JWH to manage its online portfolio of beautiful finished cabinet and interior design projects. 

The project is a partnership with Renewed Perspective Coaching in Madison, Connecticut.  Cheryl Anderson of Renwed Perspective specializes in business and marketing coaching, as well as life, parenting, and ADD/ADHD coaching. 

VDW is excited to collaborate on this first project with Renewed Perspective, and looks forward to working together on many more webdesign and developmetn projects to come.

NEW PROJECT: Trinity School of Menlo Park, California

Vermont Design Works is excited to announce our newest partnership resulting from our strategy of offering robust and affordable website technology to schools and educational institutions. Trinity School of Menlo Park, California has engaged VDW for a 2-phase design & development proejct that will begin with a design overhaul of the Trinity School website and an intensive post-launch search marketing, SEO, and pay-per-click strategy initiative.

Trinity School is a small, co-educational elementary school that enrolls 160 students from all different backgrounds in preschool through Grade 5 on two different campuses in the heart of Silicon Valley. The School features rigorous academics grounded in child-centered content within a small class framework (one class per grade). The academic program emphasizes the development of curiosity, intellect, empathy, reasoning and academic skills. In addition to the study of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, the students also participate in music, art, physical education, and Spanish classes.

We at VDW are happy to work on another project for a progressive learning insitution, and are happy to extend our services to the West Coast!

NEW PROJECT: Northwestern Counseling & Support Services

Vermont Design Works is pleased to be working with Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) in St. Albans, VT to build its new website and online donation system.  Rebuilding www.ncssinc.org is in keeping with our mission to work with Vermont- and Northeast-based
nonprofits to help them more effectively conduct business online and to
more efficiently manage online resources.

The website will promote professional behavioral health, developmental therapy, and psychosocial counseling and treatmnet for families and children in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties in Vermont.

NEW PROJECT: Lake Champlain Basin Program water resources portal

In keeping with its strategy to work with Vermont- and Northeast-based nonprofits to help them more effectively conduct business online and to more efficiently manage online resources, VDW will work with the Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) to build its new online portal. The system will be used by member organizations in northern New York, Vermont, and southern Quebec to track, update, and implement water quality improvement programs.

The website will feature the coordinated Lake Champlain management efforts report entitled “Opportunities for Action”. The LCBP has released its plan since 1996, and this project will bring the plan and collaboration to the Internet. The website will track opportunities, goals, assigned tasks, impementation progress, and more important proejct coordination data.

NEW PROJECT: Building Blocks for Literacy – online marketing & advertising, SEO, website design, eCommerce, CMS

The Stern Center for Language and Learning's BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LITERACY® is an online program that teaches early care and education providers as well as parents how to foster pre-literacy skills in children. VDW will provide UI design, custom programming, SEO, and online marketing strategy. We can't wait to work on this one!
