VT Christmas Vacation - Vermont Design Works Out of the Office Dec. 24 & 25, 2012

[Community]
Vermont Design Works will be closed on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year, but we'll be back in the office on Wednesday December 26. We hope you all get to enjoy a long weekend off too! In the meantime, to help you get in the spirit, WCAX has footage of the Vermont Capitol Christmas Tree sparkling during the official lighting ceremony earlier this month: WCAX.COM Local Vermont News, Weather and Sports- And if you're looking for something unique to do this Christmas season, maybe a trip to Billings Farm is in order. Starting this Saturday through the first of the year (with the exception of Christmas day) the farm and museum will be offering a variety of activities the whole family is sure to enjoy:
December 22 – January 1 (Closed Dec. 25) 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Making historic Christmas ornaments, pomanders, and snowflakes; candle dipping. December 26 - January 1: Horse-drawn sleigh or wagon rides; sledding with jack jumpers, if snow conditions permit. Friday, December 28, Carolyn Guest from St. Johnsbury, VT will demonstrate making snowflakes with sheep shearing shears. Visitors may experiment making their own snowflakes using scissors.
More from WCAX. Have a Merry Christmas Vermont and we'll see you back here at 9AM on Wednesday, Dec. 26!
