Z-Quiet came to Vermont Design Works with one of our favorite challenges: the creation of a web presence for a start-up business.
After years of struggling with her husband Dan’s snoring, Trina Webster invented an anti-snoring mouthguard that, she says, that “literally saved our marriage”. With a 94% effectiveness rate, it is one of the few such devices to win FDA approval.
In the fall of 2008, Dan and Trina started developing a full “as-seen-on-TV” marketing campaign for their product. They hired VDW to build the eCommerce platform to support their television advertisements. In addition to a complete checkout and payment system, the site also incorporates video clips to supplement the TV advertisements.
A website that complements television marketing faces unique challenges. Z-Quiet needed to have immediate access to web traffic and conversion statistics in order to assess which television ads were worth the investment, so we created a custom Google Analytics interface for them. Our user-friendly online Content Management System (CMS) also enables Z-Quiet to make rapid changes to the site without expert assistance, and a robust server platform developed especially to deal with spikes of traffic following a television ad run assured the site wouldn't experience any 'down time.'
