Email Spam Filter Installation

Step 1 of 6

On the "Tools" menu, choose "Message Rules", then choose "Mail...".

You should see a window similar to the following:

In the first group of options, check the box next to "Where the Subject line contains specific words".

In the second group of options, check the box next to "Move it to the specified folder".
In the third box, click the blue underlined words "contains specific words".

You should see a window similar to the following:

Enter "***SPAM***" in the first box.

Click the "Add" button.

You should see a window similar to the following:

Click the "OK" button. This closes the small popup window and returns you to the filter window.

In the third box, click the blue underlined word "specified".

You should see a window similar to the following:

Proceed to step 5

Step 5 of 6

Click the "New Folder" button.

Enter "Spam" (or something similar) in the "Folder Name:" popup and click the "OK" button.

Click the "OK" button on the folder list window.

In the last box on the filter window, enter "Spam Filter Rule" (or something similar) as the name of the rule.

Click the "OK" button.

Your Message Rules window should look similar to this:

Click the "OK" button.

All incoming mail that contains "***SPAM***" in the subject line should now appear in the new folder you created.
